Pablo BEEcasios

Today I joined the local "Art"quilt Bee here in town. Quiltkeemosabe has been after me for over a year to go with her to the meeting. One of the members did a program on using water soluble Oil Pastels to enhance fiber art. Be it landscape quilts, purses, etc. All members present seemed to enjoy learning more about this technique. At most bees, or when any quilters get together, they usually have "show and tell".

I took my landscape quilt I've been working on about Switzerland. Yes, I finally finished it! It turned out far better than I had hoped. I'm so proud of the finished piece. I see more "art" quilts in the future.
Also at the meeting today, each member recieved a paper bag of 12 items. We have until the January meeting to use 9 of the 12 items in a quilt, purse, or whatever creative article we can come up with. This should be interesting. Give me some ideas! A wallhanging? A purse? What?

Your Swiss wallhanging is superb! I want to see it in person... what happened to the "click to enlarge" feature? Arrggh! I think you could make an absolutely wonderful purse from those bagged items... I'm not sure about incorporating the feather, though. But, if anyone could pull it all together I know that you could!
